General Facilities: Brand New in 2014. Sancerre offers very spacious accommodation. Handling is easy due to the simple tiller steering, and the electric bowthruster for maneuvering in tight spaces. The rear deck has been ‘squared off’ to provide a large area for alfresco dining and entertaining (table and chairs provided). Sancerre has been fitted out with the requirements of the discerning user in mind, with concentration on comfort. Diesel central heating with hot water supplied either via the engine or central heating unit. Standard 240 volt sockets throughout, plus ‘cigar lighter’ 12v sockets.

Saloon: Leather tub chairs with integral footstools, real oak flooring and a comfy sofa (converts to a double bed, 4ft x 6ft 3in). Central heating supplemented with a woodburner (sustainable peat briquettes supplied). Flatscreen TV/DVD and self-tune Freesat, radio/CD with bluetooth and Wi-Fi. A granite breakfast bar. A folding table provides space for six or more diners, with chairs kept in a cupboard. The compact ‘study’ area has a desk and computer with Wi-Fi internet access (subject to reception - very limited downloads). The audio system is compatible with most modern media.

Galley: all-granite worktops, oak cupboards and a Baumatic full-size built-in hob and oven, the galley is functional and spacious. Large sink, plentiful hot water, coffee machine, microwave and a built-in larder fridge. Full set of cooking, eating and drinking utensils. A ‘starter pack’ containing essential cooking and drinking supplies is provided which includes milk, tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, wine, mineral water, matches, cooking oil, cornflakes, fire lighters, matches and briquettes & eco washing up liquid.


Cabins: The master bedroom has a superior quality king-size bed (5 ft x 6ft 6in), with supplied high quality bedding, and two wardrobes. The en suite bathroom provides privacy and comfort, and the bedroom has double doors opening out onto the bow deck for alfresco breakfasts. The second bedroom has a flexible configuration, it can either provide a standard double bed (4ft 6in x 6ft 3) or a bunk-bed arrangement for two or three people.

There are 2 bathrooms, each with a quality shower, compact basin, ‘normal’ flushing toilets and a heated towel rail.


Hire Periods: The hire period starts between 3.00pm and no later than 4.00pm unless by prior arrangement. The boat must be returned by 10.00am on your last day of hire. Late return, serious damage, or if the boat is not clean and tidy, may result in charges which will be taken from the Security Deposit.


Price includes: The price is inclusive of gas (for cooking), diesel, boat insurance, short tuition cruise, welcome pack, car parking, buoyancy aids, duvets and bed linen, towels, toilet rolls and cleaning materials. N.B. River Thames, Kennet & Avon,
Grand Union & Paddington Arm (Regent's Canal) licences are included. If you wish to travel down the River Wey, a separate licence can be purchased from the lock-keeper at the junction with the Thames.

Security Deposit:
A security deposit of £500 is payable by cash or cheque on commencement of hire which is refundable. Please refer to Operators Terms and Conditions for limitations.
The company's insurance does not cover personal accidents or loss or damage to personal effects. Hirers and their crews are advised to take our their own personal insurance cover. Bookings cannot be taken from persons under the age of 21 years.
N.B. No single sex parties under the age of 25 please, but mixed parties under 25
are welcome.

Pets: There is a charge of £25 for the first pet and £10 for one additional pet (maximum two pets). Please provide your own blankets/baskets. Pets are not covered under the company's insurance policy and the Hirer would be liable for the cost of any damage or any extra cleaning required.

Bikes: Can be stored in the engine bay or on the roof of the boat (as long as they are wrapped in blankets or rugs to protect the paintwork of the boat).

Booking and Payment:
A deposit payment of 25% of the hire is payable on booking. Full payment is due 12 weeks before the start date of your holiday. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer, or credit card or debit card (via PayPal) .
