Terms & Conditions of Hire:

Hire Times: Arrive between 2.30pm - 4.00pm (latest), returning your boat by 9.00am to vacate by 9.30am on the last day of hire.
A deposit of 25% is payable, with the balance of hire due 8 weeks before your arrival date. Payments can be by Visa or MasterCard credit or debit cards. No surcharges apply for any card payments.

Cancellation protection is not included within your holiday hire. You are strongly advised to take out your own holiday insurance as you will remain liable for the cost of the holiday should you need to cancel for any unforseen reason.

Boat Description:

Highlights: Modern semi-traditional stern narrowboat with LED lighting throughout; a 4 speaker radio/CD; a removeable front deck table for the bow; TVs in both the saloon and bedroom; optional wider beds (Singles: 2ft 8in; Doubles: 4ft 8in) and large mirrors.
Full radiator central heating. Hot and cold running water supplied from a 150 gallon water tank. Double filtered drinking water system. 240 volt electricity (please note that if you decide to use any of your own appliances you do so at your own risk). On-board there is a hairdryer, vacuum cleaner, 12v mobile phone charging point (bring your own car charging lead) and a welcome pack including 1 bottle of washing up liquid, 1 dish cloth, 1 tea towel, 1 floor cloth, toilet roll & bin liner. Helmsman's waterproofs & Umbrella. There is a lockable security box on-board the Plover Class boats (except from our Gailey Marina). This boat is fitted with free WiFi - an explanation of how to use the WiFi will be supplied on-board your boat on arrival.

Saloon: Spacious saloon with an 'L'shaped sofa and removable table. The seating can be converted into a single bed in the evening, if required. There is also a radio/CD player, television and a DVD player in the saloon area.

Galley: Well-equipped galley with 4 burner gas cooker complete with grill and oven, refrigerator, sink and drainer, work surfaces and storage space. There is also a cafetiere, toaster and microwave. Sufficient saucepans, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery etc. for the number of berths.

Cabins: Two cabins. The rear cabin can either be configured as one double bed or two singles with sprung mattresses, plus a TV set. The mid cabin offers a permanent double bed with a sprung mattress. There is a small wardrobe for storing clothes.

Bathroom: One bathroom with wash basin, electric flush toilet, and shower with bi-fold door. There is a 240v shaver socket.

Additional Costs:

Fuel Deposit: £50 per short break, £90 for 7 nights, £140 for 10/11 nights and £180 for 2 weeks and longer, payable with the balance of hire. The boat is handed over ready fuelled, on return to the marina at the end of your holiday period the boat will be refuelled and any difference to the deposit paid will either be refunded or charged.
Boats starting at Falkirk Only: Additional licence of £15 for 3 nights or £25 for longer is payable by cash or card on arrival.
