Terms & Conditions of Hire:

Hire Times: Your contract of hire begins between 1.30pm and 3.30pm and finishes at 8.30am, boat to be vacated by 9.00am on your last day. No later than 4.15pm arrival please.
Bicycles are welcome, please bring protective matting and security locks.
A deposit of 25% is payable at the time of booking unless payment is made within 10 weeks of your arrival date, when full payment would be due. Cancellation protection is not included. We strongly recommend that cover is obtained from a third party.

Optional Extras:

Pet charges, per pet: £20 (payable in cash on arrival). They are not allowed on seating or beds and may not be left unattended.

Boat Description:

Highlights: 58ft semi-traditional stern narrowboat suitable for couples or family groups.
Quiet water-cooled diesel engine with simple controls. Full radiator central heating. Traditional style stove in saloon (diesel-fired, please indicate if you wish to use this during your holiday, as you will require extra tuition). Hot and cold running water supplied from a 150 gallon water tank. 240 volt electricity (please note that if you decide to use any of your own appliances you do so at your own risk).

Saloon: Spacious saloon with an 'L'shaped sofa and removable table. The seating can be converted into a single bed in the evening, if required. There is also a radio/CD player, television and a DVD player in the saloon area.

Galley: Well-equipped galley with 4 burner gas cooker complete with grill and oven, refrigerator, sink and drainer, work surfaces and storage space. There is a cafetiere, toaster and microwave in the galley. Sufficient saucepans, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery etc. for the number of berths.

Cabins: Two cabins. The rear cabin can either be configured as one double bed or two singles with sprung mattresses and the mid cabin offers a permanent double bed with a sprung mattress. There is a small wardrobe for storing clothes.

Bathroom: One bathroom with wash basin, flush toilet, and shower. There is also a 240v shaver socket.

Additional Costs:

Non-refundable damage waiver: £50. This covers the hirer for accidental damage to the boat, but not for malicious damage or negligence. Also excluded is the late return of the boat or return of the boat in an unclean condition.
