Terms & Conditions of Hire:

Hire Times: Arrive from 2.00pm for all weekly and short break holidays. Return your boat by 9.00am on the last day of hire.

A booking deposit of 25% of the full hire cost (or £200 depending on which amount is greater) is required at the time of booking. The balance of hire then becomes due 6 weeks before the start date of your holiday.

Previous boating experience is preferred, but not essential.

Sailing dinghy: £95 per week & per short break.
Rowing boat: £75 per week & short break. Subject to availability.

Boat Description:

Highlights: Moorhen is a cosy cruiser oozing vintage charm, equipped with everything you need for your holiday afloat. Enjoy some wonderful extras such as a vintage radio, 1950s board games, books and a fully stocked drinks cupboard including cocktail glasses!
Moorhen was originally built in 1953 by Moores of Wroxham and used for many years in the Hire Fleet. If you would like to cruise the Broads in style and enjoy a special 1950s experience, Moorhen is perfect if you are looking for something a little different and unique.
There is warm air heating on-board and a USB charging socket for charging mobile phones.
There's a Helmsman's stool and seating in the cockpit, with a lowering roof and windscreen for passage under bridges. Sun canopy and awning available in the cockpit.
Moorhen should be able to pass under Potter Heigham Bridge, subject to appropriate water levels, with the assistance of a pilot.

Saloon: Saloon with two single sofas and a central dining table which converts to one double and one single berth in the evening. USB charging point.

Galley: Fully equipped galley with 2 ring gas hob, small grill and oven, small electric fridge, storage with all the necessary crockery and utensils for self-catering.

Cabins: Moorhen does not have a separate sleeping cabin, there are two sofas in the saloon which convert into 1 single and 1 double.

Bathroom: One bathroom with flush toilet, wash basin and shower.

Additional Costs:

Fuel: A fuel allowance is included in the price of your hire - £75 for a 7 night break or £40 for a short break.
*This will be sufficient for most hirers for their time on the boat – and your briefing will include top tips to help you limit your fuel usage, but we reserve the right to dip the tank and charge a fuel surcharge at the end of your holiday if you have chosen to use more fuel.
