Terms & Conditions of Hire:

Hire Times: Collection between 1.00pm - 2.30pm, return and vacate by 09.00am.

A booking deposit of 25% of the boat hire charge(minimum of £150) is payable initially. The balance then becomes payable no later than one month before the start date. If booking within one month of your holiday, full payment will be required at the time of making your reservation. Cancellation protection is not included within your holiday hire. You are strongly advised to take out your own holiday insurance as you will remain liable for the cost of the holiday should you need to cancel for any unforseen reason.

Boat Description:

Highlights: Debbie is a great cruiser stern narrowboat for two sets of adults with two permanently made up double beds. Alternatively the rear double bed can be made up by us as two singles, so she is also ideal for a family with two children or two friends. She has a comfortable front cabin with freestanding armchairs.

Double glazed front windows. Double beds 6'3" x 4" with interior sprung mattresses. Full central heating with radiators and airing cupboard. Carpeted throughout (except kitchen and bathroom areas). 140 gallon stainless steel water tank. Double USB charging point for mobile phones. 12V Hairdryer provided.

Free WiFi (Swanley Bridge and Falkirk bases only): There is 1GB free WiFi available for short breaks / 2GB WiFi available for weeks on boats starting at either Swanley Bridge or Falkirk. If you use beyond the WiFi allowance, you have the option to purchase additional data if required. Please be aware that WiFi availability is always subject to signal.

Saloon: Spacious open plan saloon with two easy chairs and dining table with four chairs. TV/DVD and radio/CD player.

Galley: Fully-equipped galley with four ring gas cooker, oven, grill, electric fridge with freezer compartment. Sufficient crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots & pans etc.

Cabins: Fixed double bed in middle cabin, rear cabin can have either one fixed double or two fixed singles.

Bathroom: full-size shower, flush toilet and a wash basin. Macerator toilet with discrete tank.

Additional Costs:

Non-refundable damage waiver: £45, payable on every hire. This single payment relieves the hirer of any further liability towards loss or damage to the boat with the following exceptions: rudder & skeg; malicious damage & negligence; speeding; returning the boat late or dirty.
Fuel deposit (Swanley Bridge): £85 per week, £50 per short break, paid 8 weeks prior to the holiday start date. Fuel deposit (Falkirk): £90 per week, £50 per short break, paid on arrival. The boat is handed over ready fuelled, on return to the marina at the end of your holiday period the boat will be refuelled and any difference to the deposit paid will either be refunded or charged.
Boats starting at Falkirk: Additional licence of £15 for 3 nights or £25 for longer, payable by cash or card on arrival.
