Terms & Conditions of Hire:

Hire Times: The hire period begins between 2.30pm and 4.00pm (latest) on the start day, returning your boat by 9.00am on the last day of hire.

When booking more than 10 weeks in advance, a booking deposit of between £125 and £180 is payable at the time of booking (varies based on total holiday cost). The balance of hire (or full payment) is due 10 weeks before your arrival date. Damage waiver and fuel deposits are payable with the balance of hire, 10 weeks before the start date of your holiday.

Optional Extras:

Pet Charges, per pet: £35 per week or £25 per short break. Pet buoyancy aids can be provided at reception (with a £10 refundable deposit), subject to availability.
Car parking: £15 per week or £10 per short break.
Sailing Dinghy: £70 per week or £45 per short break.
Rowing Boat: £55 per week or £30 per short break.

Boat Description:

Highlights: Moorhen is a comfortable, compact, budget, forward drive cruiser, ideal for a couple. Single internal floor level throughout. Full sliding canopy over saloon. Rear double cabin (partially under the rear deck). Facilities include TV/DVD player, CD and radio, hairdryer, diesel-fired warm air heating. There is a 12V socket for mobile phones etc (12V car lead required), inverter provides 240V power. Economical on fuel. Bicycles permitted with prior permission (please note that storage space onboard is limited).
Passes under all bridges subject to suitable tides.

Saloon: Open plan saloon with galley table and comfortable seating. LCD TV/DVD, radio/CD player are all available in the saloon.

Galley: Fully fitted galley with fridge and cooker.

Cabins: Permanent double bed in rear cabin. (Please note: the bed on this boat is quite small & is partially under rear deck area)

Bathroom: Bathroom with a flush toilet, shower and wash basin.

Additional Costs:

Non refundable damage waiver: £30. This negates the hirer from any liability to pay for loss of/or accidental damage to the boat or its equipment, but not malicious damage, loss of equipment by negligence or return of the boat in an unclean condition, which will incur an extra payment. If preferred you can opt to pay a refundable security deposit of £250 on arrival instead of the damage waiver. This will be fully refundable when the boat is returned on time, relatively clean and with no negligent damage or third party claims.
Fuel Deposit: £50, payable with your balance of hire. At the end of your holiday, the balance of any fuel remaining will be refunded to you electronically or any extra fuel used above your fuel deposit will be charged for on return.
