The base at Benson is located between Oxford and Reading on the River Thames. All the boats here are fascinatingly historic, built between the 1940s – 1970s, and have kept their original feel and look. With the change of times, they have been fittingly restored with a more contemporary interior, but without taking away the authenticity that makes this small and precious fleet so popular!

N.B. These boats are strictly SUITABLE FOR EXPERIENCED BOATERS ONLY who have been on the canals or the River Thames previously.

Bernadette, built 1952

Bernadette is a 30ft, hand crafted, wooden heritage boat that sleeps up to 4 people in 4 single beds, ideal for a family with younger children.

Claudette, built 1965

As a 30ft classic cruiser, Claudette has a spacious mahogany and oak interior and sleeps up to 5 people. Features include: retracting roof, bow thruster, shore power and reversing camera!

Henriette, 1948

Henriette is a cosy 22ft wooden cruiser that sleeps 2, complete with an open plan gallery and saloon area that converts into single beds at night.

Rubette, built circa 1940

Rubette, a lovingly revamped traditional cruiser at 28ft in length. She sleeps 2 people, ideal for a couple or friends, and has added mod cons for comfort.

Evette, built 1973

Evette is a petite, 23ft restored cabin cruiser that comfortably sleeps 2 onboard, and has a large open, outdoor cockpit area to enjoy the sunshine and views along the river.
