Boating Holidays starting from Weedon, Northamptonshire

Our boatyard at Weedon on the Grand Union Canal is conveniently situated to accommodate a range of different boating holidays, with plenty of different places to see and visit as places such as Braunston, Rugby and Warwick plus plenty more.

If you are looking for a relaxing weekend, heading south will take you on a lovely lock-free stretch before approaching the famous Blisworth Tunnel, which is just under 3km long! Upon exiting the tunnel you can visit the village of Stoke Bruerne where you can stop for a bite to eat, a coffee or explore the history of the waterways at the Canal Museum. Then, head down towards Thrupp Wharf and enjoy a drink at the Navigation Inn, before turning the boat round to head back to Weedon.

For weekly routes, novice boaters can also head south but continue down to Linslade, where the market town of Leighton Buzzard can be explored. Those after a city break can cruise north through Braunston and head onto the North Oxford Canal to explore Coventry. Experienced hirers might want to head north also but take the Leicester Line of the Grand Union and complete the famous Foxton Locks before arriving at the pretty Market Harborough.
